Bambi Baughn-
Executive
Director
|
Bambi graduated from Ohio State University
and went on to complete the legal assistant program at Capital Law
School. Bambi has continued her education in Social Work, Public
Administration, Grantsmanship Training, and Ohio CDC Association's Basic Housing
Development skills training. Bambi started out working for Porter,
Harkins, & Reckless Law. Bambi then started social work for the
Orient Institute for the Mentally Disabled. Bambi joined Community Action
in 1978 as the Head Start Director and became Deputy Director in 1980. She
still remains in that position today. In addition to Bambi's work at
Community Action, she currently serves as the Treasurer for the local Salvation
Army, a Board Member Central Ohio Area Agency on Aging, Secretary for the Ohio
Association of Community Action Agencies, Secretary of the Washington Lioness
Club, Board Member and Bulletin Editor of the Washington Rotary Club, Chairman
of the Fayette County Continuum of Care, Board Member for the Southern State
Community College Foundation Board, and serves on the Regional Advisory Council
for 5-county One-Stop. Bambi has served Community Action as
a visionary and secured funds for continuing programs and new innovating
programs for 25 years. Through Bambi's leadership, drive, and presence in
the community and beyond Community Action is able to continue to fight the war
on poverty.

Jenny
Hollar-Young-
Deputy Director |
Jenny
graduated in from Washington Senior High School and attended Great Oak
Vocational School in for Accounting. She continued her education
at Southern State Community College on the Principles of Accounting and
then in 1982 went to Baldwin-Wallace College for Improving Fiscal
Management and Accounting Skills of Community Action Agencies.
Jenny began her work for Community Action in 1975 and has served as the
Fiscal Officer to this day. Recently, Jenny ran and was elected to
sit on the Washington City School Board. Jenny has served Community
Action through handling all of the fiscal activities related to
operations. Her knowledge, perseverance, steadiness, and attention
to detail has kept Community Action compliant with all federal, state,
local, and private audits throughout the years and ensured the delivery
of financial stability to the agency and employees alike.

Yvonne Broughton
Head Start Director- |
Yvonne is a graduate from Ohio
University in Athens, Ohio. There Yvonne received her Bachelor's of Early
Childhood Services with a Minor in Human Resource Management. Yvonne began
her career at Warren County Community Action as a teacher and came on board with
Community Action's Head Start Program as the Director and Education Coordinator.
Yvonne is certified in Child Abuse Recognition, First Aide, CPR, and
Communicable Diseases. In addition to her duties at Head Start she also is
a member of the National Association of the Education of Young Children and the
Ohio Head Start Association.

Debbie Miller-
Director of
National Family Caregiver Program
|
Debbie
graduated from Washington High School. She went on to obtain
Business Management training through Wright State University, and is
also a State Certified Nursing Assistant. Throughout the years
Debbie has also been trained in domestic violence, case management,
childhood development, outcomes management, grant writing, homeless
prevention, and active parenting. Debbie completed the
Community Action Leadership Academy in 2004. Debbie has served in
various positions for Community Action. These include:
Parenting Support Coordinator, Wellness Grant Coordinator, and
Supportive Housing Service Coordinator. Currently, Debbie works as
the Adult Protective Services Coordinator, Family Caregiver Coordinator,
and Results Oriented Management Coordinator. In addition to her
duties at Community Action, Debbie is the Chairman of the Fayette County
Chapter of the Arthritis Foundation, Co-Chair of Toys for Tots,
Marketing Committee Chairman for Adult Day Care Center, Chairperson for
Family Fun Day, PTC Treasurer at Jeffersonville
Elementary School, a Member of the Quality Assurance Committee
for the National Family Caregiver Program, and participates on the Continuum of
Care Committee.

Donna Upthegrove-
HEAP Director
|
Donna
graduated from Washington Senior High and came to Community Action as
the Assistant to Edna Naylor for the Homemaker Program. Since that
time, Donna has served in various positions. Within a few years
Donna moved to the Homemaker Program Coordinator's position, supervising
and training 5 employees. Since 1982 she has worn many hats, such
as: HEAP Coordinator, Emergency Coordinator, Welfare Secretary for
the Salvation Army, Fiscal Agent for FEMA,
Food Pantry Coordinator, Summer Lunch Program Coordinator, and Office Manager.
Since 1990, Donna has also served as property management for Community Action
apartment complexes. Donna is trained in Management Advancement on
Effective Delegation, Comprehensive Housing Counseling, Multi-Family Housing
Management/Fair Housing, Low-Income Housing Tax Credit Compliance, and is a
Benefit Bank Counselor. Donna's volunteer activities include past
involvement in Athletic and Band Boosters and current participation in the
Self-Sufficiency Task Force, Member of HOPE for Elderly Independence Task Force,
and the Fayette County Horsemen's Association. Donna is also a notary
public. Donna has participated in fundraising, counseling, training,
coordination, and collaborations making her a valuable, experienced, and
knowledgeable member of the Community Action Commission of Fayette County's
team.

Patty Griffiths-
Housing Director
|
Patty
obtained her first degree in Elementary Education from Miami University.
Patty then went on to get her Masters. Later, she graduated from
Ohio State University with a School Psychologist Certification.
Patty has a background in both real estate and psychology. This
blend clearly developed the skills necessary to operate housing with
services. In 1992 Patty began working for Community Action as a
Program Developer for Self-Help Housing Programs. The same year
Patty began her position as Housing Director and serves in that position
today. Throughout the years Patty has continued her training.
She as attended Basic Skills in Affordable Housing Development,
Comprehensive Housing Development Organization Homeownership Training,
Housing Counseling Certification, Single Family Home owner Educator and
Counselor training, Housing Development Finance Profession Training, and
Beyond Basic Skills in Affordable Housing.

Joy
Stanforth-
Visitation Center
Director

Joy
graduated from Washington Senior High School and continued her education
at Circleville Bible College, Ohio University, and Southern State
Community College for courses in social work and ministry. Joy
came to CAC in 1986 and has held various positions, including Head Start
Cook, Front Desk Receptionist, Job Club Coach, Youth Employment
Counselor, and Homeless Programs Director. From 1990 to 2002 Joy
worked and the Coordinator of the County Domestic Violence Program,
Project Woman. In 1994 Joy began serving as the Pastor for the
Waterloo Church of Christ in Christian Union. In April of 2002 Joy
returned to CAC as the Director of the Supervised Visitation Center and
still serves in that position today. Joy has extensive training in
the field of domestic violence. Besides her work in Fayette County
she has taught domestic violence courses at the Police Academy in
London, Ohio and worked as a consultant for Ohio Crime Prevention.

Stacey Johnson-
Summer Youth &
Youth Build Director

Stacey
graduated Edward Lee McClain High School in Greenfield, Ohio. In
2002, Stacey began her work as the Youth Build Resource Counselor.
In 2006, Stacey took over the position of Summer Youth Coordinator in
addition to her work as the Youth Build Director and she continues to
hold those positions today.

Gaye Huffman-
Homeless Programs
Coordinator |
Gaye
graduated from Washington Senior High School and began work at Community
Action as the Summer Youth Program Coordinator. Next she worked as
the Community Energy Opportunity Program Coordinator and Litter
Prevention Coordinator. Since 1996 Gaye has been responsible for
all components of the Emergency Shelter and Transitional Housing
Programs. Gaye has taken crisis worker training and has dedicated
many long hours to Community Action over the years.

Roger Thompson - CAC Transportation
Director |
Roger
Thompson comes from a background of military, transportation, mechanics,
and management. Roger hold a Certificate of Completion for Diesel
Repair, Refrigeration Repair, and Aviation Maintenance. Roger also
served our country as a squad leader in the U.S. Army. Roger's
expertise in these areas make him an excellent addition to the CAC Team.
