 Youth Build

It is the mission of Youth Build to provide opportunities for growth and education to low-income youth and create affordable housing in the community.

 Youth Build
Youth Build began operations in 1999 in the old Children's Home building in front of the airport.  As time has progressed Youth Build has been helped from various sources.  The first location was by the airport and was donated by the Fayette County Commissioners.  In 2003 Youth Build relocated to the old Staunton school building on Locust Road.  Youth Build has been integral in the development of affordable housing since its inception.  Today the students are developing housing in Ross County and attending classes at Southern State Community College. The Youth Build program has also created opportunities for participants to meet publicly elected officials, such as Dave Hobson and John Kerry.
