Fayette Inn

The Fayette Inn is a Single Room Occupancy for single adults with very low to no income.  Rent is based upon the individuals income.  Transportation services are provided.

Mission

It is the mission of Fayette Inn to provide an end to the cyclical nature of homelessness by providing permanent supportive housing to individuals with low incomes, disabilities, substance abuse, and mental health issues so that by focusing first on individuals housing issues, we many end that cycle.  We move them in, and move them up.

History

The SRO was opened by Community Action on November 1, 1996 by a HUD Continuum of Care grant.  The Community Action Commission of Fayette County rehabilitated the rooms and began operations.  The name, Fayette Inn, derives from the old motel name given to the place.  In an unsuccessful attempt at the removal of the sign, the name still stands today, reminding us of our duty to provide care and support to our community.
